    Muskogee Ok.
At the salt mine yesterday we were discussing jumping motorcycles, and it was thought that most people know the outcome of the jump before they land. Guys like, Robbie Knievel,Trigger Gumm, and Robbie Maddison when they go for world record jumps they have to be going 90-100 mph when they hit the take off ramp. That's gotta be a sick feeling if you know you're going down and cant do anything about it, has to be a sick feeling:alex::faint:

    outside the wire perimeter.
I'm remembering an event with my bicycle and a ramp set up on black top road. I had about 2, maybe 3 full seconds of knowing the shift was about to hit the fan as far as the landing. NOT fun.

  3. I don't do things like that on 2 wheels. I have to protect my handsome looks.:rofl::faint:

    Oh, USA
I've been in car wrecks on ice at 45, I think I will pass on doing it at 90+ sans a couple of tons of sheetmetal around me.

I know what it feels to go backwards at 105mph on dry pavement. What made it worse was I was heading at a curve and a cornfield. Left the roadway at 100+ and went through(mostly over, the front end hit and went airborn) a six foot deep ditch and then landed in a corn field and mowed down a ton of corn. I will maintain that a mercury cougar is not a very effecient combine.

I'm just the opposite...I'm much more comfortable at high speeds on a motorcycle. I don't want any part of the ice though.

I attended a jump in Mesquite, NV a few years back. I had flown some people up for the event. We had a 30kt crosswind when we landed. The jumper did too. He decided to jump anyway. :wow:

He didn't miss the landing ramp by much, but he died just the same.
