As some of you know I am getting out of the plastic business. One of my EDCs (attire dependent) is a S&W M&P9c. It's got to go. I am currently looking at 1911 CCO models as the front runner for replacing it as the grip height of the CCO is about as much of a difference as I want to go for, given the role the M&P plays. Right now I am looking hard at the Sig GSR Nitron. I have looked at the Colt Gunsite and DW CCO. I have considered the Defender, EMP, Micros and Ultras. I think for now the Officer frame is the right replacement.

I have already started transitioning from a Sig 229 to a Springfield LW Champion Operator as the main EDC. I'll go to the CCO/Officers model if I need a little shorter grip to better conceal. I train/shoot pretty religiously so having a similar set up with both EDCs makes a lot of sense to me.

So post up those CCOs and Officers models, I am hoping to see something I haven't thought of or come across but as always any and all pics are gratuitous!

Talk to drc about possibly getting in on one of the new Guncrafter NN CCO's. They dont exist yet, so pics arent possible. DRC has commitments on the 6 he had allotted, but I believe Alex was building 10.

I have 7 reservations......I think Alex has the rest. Looks like three weeks out on the frames based on my phone conversation with Alex. Going to be a cool project.

I just picked up a Talo Colt CCO. I test fired it yesterday, then cleaned it and slapped on a nice set of ivory grips. No pics of mine yet. I guess you'll have to pretend there is ivory on the one in the link.

I have a Les Baer Stinger in stainless also. It shoots great. It has less recoil and muzzle flip than the CCO, but it's a little heavier for carry. Picking a favorite would be like having to choose your favorite child.

I have two submissions, one conventional (a Stinger), the other not so much (my namesake Officer's Match, a two barrel/slide full sized frame Colt custom):

You are on the right track for sure. The CCO is a great carry piece.

For the life of me, I can't figure out why SA stopped making these. Heck, for that matter, why more companies don't offer them.

    Here is mine.

I shudder to think what lengths I'd go to for that. Just awesome sir.
