Should we have new political labels?

I was just thinking of the confusing array of political labels, and how the people who wear those labels have changed. Democrats are not what they used to be, republicans are not what they used to be. Some people swing so wide within those labels they really should have their own label.
It kind of reminds me of the music industry and the quickly evolving genres of music.
    I'm pretty sure I'm a libertarian, but I guess I could be called a republican, I guess.

Democrat = Big government, small military, lots of social programs, and tax and spend the country into bankruptcy.

Republican = Smaller big government, BIG military, a few social programs, and don't tax and spend quite as much as the Democrats. Kind of like democrat wannabes.

Libertarians = Dreamers who live in their mommies basement and believe in a fairy tale world without societies rules and regulations impeding their activities, like dope smoking.

Democrats= Statists who believe in heavy taxation, an abundance of welfarism, socialized medicine, heavy regulation on the free market and puppets for central bankers, big labor and big pharma.

Republicans= Statists who believe in implementing morality through the force of law, policing the world, huge military spending and puppets for the central bankers and the military industrial complex.

Democrats and Republicans= They both support the NDAA, The Patriot Act, CISPA and domestic drones.

Libertarians= People who want no part of the aforementioned policies and believe in the maximization of freedom across the board, personal and economic. Believes what you smoke is your own damn buisiness. Believes in sound money not being destroyed through inflation by central banking interests. Not interested in being bought by central bankers, big labor, big pharma or the military industrial complex.

Actually, the Democrat Party is BIG military. But that stands to reason, the military is the fastest growing entitlement class.

You tho k this is tough, you should try to get atheists to use the dictionary definition of atheist.

They are only labels. We are who we are.

Whats your definition of entitlement class?

My definition of an entitled person is one who receives benefits that he or she has not deserved. And furthermore, anyone who willingly spends years of their lives in foreign ****holes, willing to sacrifice life, limb, and family so that others like you can comfortably stay at home, have earned anything that the government returns to them.

Ther are three types people in this country:

    the haves
    the wants
the guilts who take from the haves and give to the wants

the guilts are destroying this country by creating more wants than haves

Only a fool would think there is any true behind the doors difference between a Democrat and Republican politican.

I'm convinced they get together at a huge party with hookers and blow (paid for with taxpayer money) and play checkers to see who gets to screw us this time around.

One party wins two times in a row - that party needs to play blindfolded the next time.

Both sides are good at two things: Making you fear problems and telling you who is to blame for it - neither side has any interest in fixing anything. Why? Imagine tomorrow every problem was you think those politicians would still have those power positions jobs? Me neither.

As for people, the average person is too lazy or stupid to go out and read both sides of a story and form an opinion.

Just the other day, my brother called me a Tea Party member because I own a gun? His entire basis of my political philosophy was based on the fact I owned a firearm. He also says stupid stuff like "our neighborhood is too nice to have crime." For the record, he would be an elitist Democrat who has fully supported every tax hike our school district or city imposes. Yes, me makes a very good living.

When people try to label me I tell them the truth. I'm a limited government, free market Libertarian Constitutional Centrist with flecks of Anarchism. Since, 95% of Americans don't even know how to respond to this they respond how I expect..."oh, you are one of those" and just leave.

Labels, aka parties, are for people too stupid to form their own opinions.

This thread has turned into something resembling a night of being too drunk in a bad part of town. Not necessarily a bad thing.

I actually was suggesting the current parties need new names to reflect who they are now.
I think current republicans with their big govt religious influences should probably be called "southern democrats."
And current democrats would be more accurately labeled socialists, or maybe "socialist democrats."
I guess libertarians are still libertarians.

This has been an interesting exercise promoting collectivism. Even in any party, there are many different people with many different "top 3" issues, with different weights applied.

    Generally speaking, generalizing is bad.

^ Top 3 issues. That is a very good point.

Just my perception that most people are not single issue people, they care about different things, even if one thing is more important than others.

    The national debt
    Opposing our enemies

Those are my top 4 (at the moment) in no particular order. Some are more important on some days than others.
