Went down to the range this morning for a little Christmas Eve shooting. As I had never fired anything in .45 or a 1911 (I only have a .40 Glock) I decided to rent the Kimber Custom Target that was available. Although I wasn't a huge fan of the adjustible target sights, I must say I was pretty accurate with it. It was fun to shoot, though it desperately needed cleaning. For instance when I released the slide the slide crawled back so slowly that I wasn't sure it even chambered a round. Again, it was my first experience with a 1911 but I still don't think that is normal. Also had 1 or 2 FTF out of the box of 50. Again, my guess is that as a rental gun it was just filthy so I won't hold thost FTFs against it. What do you guys think about traget sights vs night sights? Just wondering if target sights are more accurate or what the pros and cons are to both kinds of sights, other than the night sights glow in the dark...i figured that much out on my own Wanna kill these ads?
