I've only shot revelovers and and striker fire pistols before. When I went to the range yesterday I wanted to try something different and have a little fun. So I borrowed a Springfield 1911 A1 from the rental pool. It was sooo fun! It was very smooth shooting the pistol, the heaviness really rounded out the recoil. I shoot and shoot, and the next thing I know I finished a box of ammo. The trigger was a lot different than my Glock. It was a very smooth trigger pull, and a lot shorter than what I was used to. Not having any experience shooting any other 1911 I don't know how this pistol compares to others. I now see what the fuss is all about ... 1911 pistols are just plain fun! I'm now adding a 1911 pistol to my wishlist. Time to start researching and learning. What are some good websites, or books to learn more about 1911 pistols?
