A Sharps Pepperbox was used by Holmes in the series featuring the late Jeremy Brett. In "The Final Problem" Holmes faces his mortal enemy Moriarty with one, and in another, "The Greek Interpreter" Mycroft Holmes, (Sherlock's irrassable brother) "acquires" another Sharps from a laughing fiend and holds him for the police.

"Surrender means that the history of this heroic struggle will be written by the enemy, that our youths will be trained by Northern school teachers; learn from Northern school books THEIR version of the war; and taught to regard our gallent dead as traitors and our maimed veterans as fit subjects of derision.
