    He gave me a job in 1997. Good guy. Huge. They didn't call him "Big Jim" for nothing.

    I last saw him at Dep Brandon Moore's fundraiser a few months ago. He looked good at that time.

    Mourning band on. RIP, Sheriff.

    I find it heart warming that in today's climate of internet anonymity, with anti-LE sentiment being spewed constantly on the news sites, not a single comment to the news articles announcing Jim Karnes death have been negative. Everyone is coming out in support of a great man, and I think that speaks volumes for his character.

    Perhaps there's hope for society still.
