Well...one step closer! I was selected to do the physical agility test on the 31st of this month! I know I will pass with flying colors, but still nervous none the less. Its rare these days for a spot opening here in AZ. I could use all the good juju I can get! :wavey:

    Just wanted to tell someone.

    Good luck.

Once you've done your test, don't forget to encourage others doing it.

It won't help your time / score, but it shows good sportsmanship.

    Update:

1.5 mi run: PASS (14:02, on the slower side)
    Push ups: PASS (45)
    Sit ups: PASS (39)

    Boy, I'm really exhausted.

I was at that part of the process earlier this year. Good thoughts for you on the way!

Congrats! Those almost mirror my times when I took the POWER and MCOLES tests a few months ago.

    Keep up the good work!

Thank you all for the kind words:wavey:I totally f'ed up too. I trained at night (work 9-5), and was not expecting to be running in the 90*F heat :faint:.

I wished that I could do the POPAT, seems more interesting.

Well good news is, only 10 more steps in the hiring process.

DP, good on you buddy, let us know how the academy goes for you.

  10. Were you taking the physical standards for candidates age 45 to 50? :whistling:

I hope you were kidding about having 10 more steps. I'm already looking forward to giving you some advise for the psychological. You know, about how liking tall women and preferring to work in a flower shop will get you a great psyche evaluation.

No, unfortunately I am not 45-50. I'm 23. My cardio is not great, I know. I was not kidding either, about having 10 more steps in the hiring process. I'll pm you the department standards.
