Search Function disabled?? Howcome?

Discussion in 'Bluegrass Glockers' started by ciwsguy, Dec 4, 2007.

  1. Anybody else bummed about the Glock Talk search function being disabled? Not sure why the Admin did that, but that sure is a useful function. I'd sure like to get that function back. It was a very good tool to look for info.

Something about the server crashing and having to switch everything over to temporary servers disabled the search function.
    I know, it's a bummer.

The search function works for everyone else. It just doesn't work for you. And the decision to disable the search function for you was made totally arbitrarily.

  5. Don't think so. According to the Admin, the search function and email notification is turned off while server functions are being repaired. If yours is working then you must have found a way to hack into the system.

Yes, I've hacked "the system". I control the horizontal. I control the vertical. All your base are belong to us. Only the worthy will have access to "search".

Are you sure about that? I mean, why would the Admin turn that feature off?

Takes up too much processing power to build indexes required to do fast searches.

Unfortunately, it makes searching for guns in Kentucky in the Firearms Listings impossible, so I don't bother looking for things for sale.

  12. Thanks to the Administrator, the Search function is back up! Thanks Admin!
