I sold a guy a used G23 (400 rds) and he says there is a scratch at about 3 o'clock on the inside of the slide adjacent to the barrel - he sees it when the slide is locked back.
    Is this normal wear?

Ok, I got with the guy, pulled the slide off mine and asked if "this" was what he was seeing? The "this" was the top of the trigger bar in the receiver, to which he got red and said yes. He hadn't even pulled the slide off to look at his own.

Moral of this story: don't sell to an idiot that knows nothing about Glocks.

I'm guessing that's a story that you will retell a time or two...

Yeah, when I do my next face-to-face, I may have them fill out a form: 1) Are you stupid? 2) Have you ever owned a pistol? 3) ... Ah, what the heck, probably wouldn't help anyway ...
