Long story short, I wandered into Gander Mountain today because I was bored and walked out with a new Ruger 22/45 5.5" bull barrel and "used" unfired Beretta 92FS for right at $500 OTD.

I've always been the first to complain loud and long about the horrible prices at GM, but today was a great exception!

OK, first it's the pic of a Spaten with your firearm in the policically incorrect "Guns and Booze" thread, now it's the two-fer for $500. Apparently aliens have invaded Amarillo. Congrats on taking full advantage of the situation.

'rillo. Right next to the black 92 was a INOX in worse shape for $550. Go figure.

I've lived here since before the GM opened, even worked there for a few months. Today is the only time I've seen a good deal there!

    CONGRATS!

I once found a LNIB Ruger P-89 on consignment at my LGS for $250!:wow:

Also, at the same shop, a Finnish M-39 VKT/Valmet for $145!:wow:

More often than not the deals we come across more than make up for the guns we overpay on (KT PMR-30:supergrin:). It' all good.

I was only looking for a 22/45, but couldn't pass up a mint 92FS for less than half of the price of a new one anywhere else!

I have to imagine the 92 was priced wrong, and you got lucky. Congrats.

    Yup

I thought so too, but that was the consensus of two counter guys and the manager, so I whipped out my wallet fast enough to set the seat of my pants on fire.

LCI and mag disconnect disabled, will be ordering a blank LCI slot filler and replacement bushing for the disconnect as soon as I can remember where to find 'em

Volquartsen firing pin, extractor, extended safety, extended bolt catch, titanium disconnector, hammer bushing to eliminate magazine disconnect, hammer, adjustable trigger, plunger, spring, sear, and sear spring should be here by the end of the week.

Now just to track down the LCI plug.

Sometimes you do land some good ones. Last year I bought a Bernadelli P018 with box and papers for $350 from Cabela's.
