I guess this isn't your typical thread on the subject, because I'm not asking about it. I recently got my tax stamp in the mail, and wanted to share how long it took, so others waiting might have an idea. I mailed off my Form 1, and check, on April 2nd, and used a trust. On September 15th I got it sent back with a letter that I didn't do the duplicate form properly. It was my first NFA registered rifle, so I made a copy of my original Form 1 (with signature) and sent them both in. I didn't realize they wanted both forms with original signatures on them. I corrected it and sent both back the same day. Got my tax stamp in the mail on September 29th (it was signed on September 26th). I wasn't expecting it until the end of November or beginning of December. I also expected my screw up to set it back... Lucky me! The funny part is that when reprinted the forms and signed them, I dated them September 15th, so on my form it looks like it only took me 11 days to get approved. It seems that it took them right at 5 months to get to my forms. I hope someone finds this helpful. Wanna kill these ads? We can help!
