Cabela's Black Friday ad just arrived in my mailbox and they have an 18.5" Savage 350 pump for $200. Anybody seen one, or had any experience with one?

Appears to be a Chinese knockoff of a Ithaca M37 with ghost ring sights.

Based on my experience with other Savage products I'd expect the gun to be servicable, maybe even good.

Not sure where the Chinese knockoff comment originates from.

Google search and reviews indicated that....I was disappointed in that, because I have always thought of Savage as an affordable, American made firearm that is more than "serviceable".

The trigger pull is very heavy, finishing is rough. Had one and sold it, much happier with a Mossberg Maverick 88 for the same price.

The savage Stevens 350 is made in china

So, pretty typical of the other Chinese clones? Sounds like Savage just put their rollmark on the side and called it a day.

If you want a new $200 range shotgun the Maverick 88 would be my #1 choice. Relatively smooth action once broken in, trigger pull is decent.

Don't know that I really want one, just saw the ad and was intrigued, since it had the Savage name, and ghost ring sights. I already have a Remington Wingmaster, set up as a HD gun, so no real need. Plus, I'm not going to be at Cabela's with the rest of the crazies for the black friday sale, and I wouldn't consider this gun at their regular price.

I do agree that the Maverick is a good value for the money. I've used one in the past for duck hunting.

Academy sells the 350 for $199 everyday! Is it a black Friday deal at Cabela's for $199?

Ya, it is....I saw that on the Academy website today too. Cabela's isn't much of a deal after all!
