In this thread= http://www.glocktalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=717285, mikol thought that Shooters Arms Manufacturing (SAM) had a new design for their SAS12 pump-shotgun. I wasn't so sure, so I waddled over to SGAC to check things out. Jo was kind enough to allow pix, even holding the weapon so I could get a somewhat nicer shot. AFAICT it's still the same SAS12 of 3(?) years running. Jo was pretty sure of it too, and it's still backordered to heck. The gun seems to weigh about 7-8 lbs, empty mag. Mag carries 6 shells, and it's not entirely clear how easy it's going to be, getting extra mags: the firearm itself is backordered. The vertical foregrip is racked back and forth to 'pump' (cycle) the action. The action isn't as smooth as I'd like, but maybe it can be fluffed/buffed. A fair bit of the construction seems to be of aluminium alloy. Maybe I'll buy one at the Gun Show, to test/review... then again, transporting it to and from a shottie range is something that needs to be planned out for feasibility, so... The emphasis is on the "maybe". h.
