    I have a complex relationship with sandals. First, they look stupid, usually. Second, they're terrible for the woods (read my thread yesterday about ticks). Finally, they make driving much more adventurous, since you never can count on stepping on the right pedal without getting a foot stuck.

    But on days when its so hot, I just can't wear my Red Wing boots, and the sandals are my weapon of choice.

    Moccasins are a close second, but still not as cool and breathable.

    What do you think?

    It doesn't get above, say, 85, here but I never wear sandals and don't own a pair. If it's hot, I'd wear a pair of sneakers. If I'm at the beach and it's hot, I'd go barefoot or wear sneakers, too.
    Don't mind me, I don't like showing my feet. ;)

    My wife is always encouraging me to do sandals, but I just don't like the way they look. Besides, my size 12 double-wide feet are a horror that humanity should never have to look upon.

    Side note: Too many times I have been on the subway or bus and had to look at someone's nasty toes.

    If you're gonna wear sandals, take care of those toenails!!!

    Love them, but not the flip-flop type. Mine are made from leather strapping and don't flop around.

    Mine are very much like these;

    Um I wear flip flops so much that I get strange looks when I'm in actual shoes.

    I haven't had anything but flipflops on for the last couple weeks. Been on vacation at the beach. Except for when I was in the water then had on Vibrams KOS.

    I have a nice pair of Chacos sandals for around everyday wear during summer, 9 months a year here.

    I would wear my Rainbow flops every day of the year if I could. Unfortunately, work doesn't allow such a thing.

    I only wear flip flops to take out the trash or go swimming. Not worn in public otherwise. Sandals are the ghey.

    Nope. The phrase, "Worthless as a man wearing flip-flops"; words I live by.

    I wore them in Hawaii, when I was going to be at the beach that day.

    Ha, I have these sandals but never wear them because I work outdoors and have a great tan from the ankles up.If it didn't look like I was wearing socks when I wasn't,I'd rock them.
