So they did nothing wrong? I'm not really a football fan, just read a little and listen to espn radio from time to time. Witch hunt against the Saints or just those particular players?

Fujita is a scum bag. I dont think there is anyone I detest more in the league. As soon as I saw the article was defending him, I quit reading. I say this because several years ago when they were playing the Panthers, he BLATANTLY dove through Steve Smiths knees when Smith wasnt even near the play. If you look it up on youtube its an obvious attempt to injure Steve Smith. Hes probably pretty lucky Steve Smith didnt clean his clock right there.

Anyway, CF I assume youre a Saints fan? Man, your whole team might as well retire because the NFC south is going to be completely dominated for the next ten years by a certain team with a certain QB whos initials may or may not be CN.:tongueout:

We're talking football, a fast, violent game and things happen, not life or death.

I watched it several times. What I see is an accident. I see Fujita coming in to make a hit and then dragging a toe as his knees go down. Fujita's knees are on the ground before he makes contact.

Every NFL player is painfully aware that they are one hit away from ending a career. I don't subscribe to notion that any players intentionally inflict career-ending injuries on fellow players.

Oh stop. The Saints targeted players and the Pats stole plays. Bledsoe Cried, People Died. Period.

    with legal hits

At the root of this is the pay for performance, not the hits.

The NFL has a problem with its collective bargaining agreement (pay for performance) and concussion lawsuits. Its a witch hunt.

My point was BOTH "scandals" were a pile of air. But 5-6 years later, you STILL get guys on here saying, "Oh, the Pats cheat - they watch the other team practice. They suck!"

Get used to it. Being #1 means having a target on your back.

    Haters gonna hate.

I'm a DrewBreeezie fan. That man is a machine.

So what? Going low on a player without the ball, except amongst linemen, is a big no no.

Regardless of that I hated the guy as a Cowboy. He often managed to sound like a Sierra Club member on TV.

Read the article. It's a hunt for the great white defendant. All the others were black and we can't have the racist grand poo-baa of the KKK Roger Goodell "targeting" all those black guys.

Be thankful white bread is there to deflect some of this.

Your league is changing. Slowly but surely it's changing. Mouth breather's out, pretty boy QB's and prima donna WR's in.

Evolve with it or go watch Hockey.

Of course it is. The assertion is that he intentionally took the knees out. I think the video shows it was accidental or is at least not proof that Fujita intended to deliver a career-ending cheap shot.

The Saints had a bounty-program. The Saints lied about, and also continued with the program when told to immediately stop. There are persons that are accused in this all that have admitted as such. Period.

I know, I know. All this "football is turning soft and etc" reverse-machismo stuff. I get it. I won't even ask whether you played organized football.

But the Saints did what they knew was illegal, then lied about it and attempted to cover up. Got busted bigger than shi_ and now want to cry about how unfair it is. They're guilty. That they keep crying and trying to gain public opinion despite the fact is what turns me off.

OP......explain why the NFL would start a witch hunt and punish this one team so hard?
