I have heard nothing but good things for the bodyguard 380. only issues i have heard are the button for the laser goes bad too quickly. probably because of the operator imo.

I wonder when the 9mm version will arrive. :whistling:
  6. Range Report:

finally got to shoot the 380 bodyguard and it did not disappoint,
shot 50 rounds of fmj no problem
20 rounds rem golden saber no problem
20 rounds federal low recoil no problem

think i will be using the golden saber 102 gr. as my carry round

bodyguard blows my ruger LCP out of the comparison
and i am a fan of Ruger semi-autos!!

    one happy bodyguard 380 owner:supergrin:

If you Google "Smith and Wesson 380 bodyguard problems" You will find many who have had issues in the past. I thought someone said something about a break point or a clean point on manufacturing issues but I can't tell you what it is for the serial number.

Problems with the take down lever detent and spring and the lever coming off and the slide almost coming off of the gun. The laser sucks to activate and many times won't activate or switch functions with a single push and requires multiple attempts. If the eye see the pulsing beam better, why is it the second options?

I like the look, I like the warranty and if you got one of the early ones, from the Google links, you will need it.

I like the looks of the little Sig too, but it has a lot of problems. The Ruger runs better. Too bad that S&W and Sig for that matter couldn't have gotten a better release on both of these products.
