I have 2 revolvers: Colt Python 4", and Ruger SP101 2.5". Both in .357Mag. I shoot mostly semi-autos, but always thought I'd add a S&W wheel gun to the herd. Probably just one.

Is this one worth getting? I had been leaning towards a 629, but I think it's a pretty good deal. No box or papers, just a cheap nylon holster. Overall condition is very good. ~92%. Thoughts?

    Yes,

You could easily get $500 or maybe $600 on a good day for that revolver.

I'd jump all over a deal like that. They go for at least $100 more around here.

I gave $575 for my 686 no dash.
I would not buy a newer one with the lock.
IF I DID $400 is the most I'd pay....

Around here even some four inch K frames with some wear to the bluing are being advertised or marked at above 400 or sometimes above 500. Here 400 for a 686 would be a good deal.

The bottom one is a 686-6, 2 1/2"..This is a real flame thrower...
FYI, the top one is a 629-6, 4"...

400 is a very good price...
