Several days ago, I went to the range with a box of the 100 count WWB 9mm ammo, and ran them through my Glock 19. Upon opening the box, I noticed some of the cases looked dirty, and it wasnt as bright as it normally is but I shot it anyway. All together I had 4 FTE, and I personally rule out limp wristing as I was shooting with two hands the whole time.

Disappointed, I bought a couple boxes of the RWS ammo today. I havent heard much about it, but knowing the companys reputation, I felt confident. Took it to the range, and shot 100 flawless rounds. Accuracy was good, and the stuff seemed to be loaded warm. Not only that, but it restored my confidence in my Glock.

Also, I dont have much experience shooting random targets, but I decided to see if it would penetrate the long side of a 2x4, and it seemed to blow through it like nothing. Was fairly suprised, even though I know a .22LR from a handgun will penetrate the thin side of a 2x4 with ease.

I have seen the 115 FMJ's blast right through 7 inches of spruce wood.

Unfortunately the Walmarts in my neck of the woods have run out of this excellent ammo and i doubt that I'll see anymore soon.

I shot some of it in my M&P and it is definitely loaded more stoutly than the Federal Champion 9mm.

When I got my 2nd gen Glock 19 I tried different range ammo like WWB, Federal, Magtech, etc. and the RWS stuff is by far my favorite. Very accurate and clean ammo. Last time I bought some from Wal-Mart it went down in price as well, from $16.97 a box to $12.97 a box.

RWS i good for practice. It i clean burning. The case wall are thin and the bottom of the inner case not as beefy as the US brands. The bullet is lead core w/ steel case just like wolf ammo so it will heat your barrel quick and is kind of hard on the grooves if you shoot a lot. The bullet and primer are not sealed. The chrono I got varies from 1098 to 1180 give or take a few fps. Not very consistent.
Good practice ammo a step above Wolf.

It's the best darn 9mm target rounds that i have used so far. Only a dollar more per 50 rds than WWB. I did see one walmart in my area restock RWS after being sold out for few months.

I'm glad to hear that people are having good luck with RWS ammo. My local Meijer store has it on clearance for 11.69 and then I get 15% off for using my Meijer credit card on their "Credit Card Days". That brings the final price to 9.94 per box of 50. This is the same orange box of 115 FMJ that you see at Walmart. They have about 20 boxes in stock. I may run back out and get another 10 boxes or so at that price.

If you shop at Meijer and have a Meijer credit card, don't forget to take advantage of the special 15%-off days. It's the best deal around. Some recent purchases:

    RWS 9mm 50 rd - 9.94 per box (Normally 12.99 on clearance for 11.69)
    Winchester White Box 9mm 100rd - 20.37 per box (Normally 23.97)
    Winchester 333 .22LR 333rd - 9.75 per box (Normally 11.47)

    Enjoy!

Just think how many inches of gel that would equate to.

Two hands do not preclude LW.

A lot that is for sure. I bet 30 plus inches but that is a guess. I like to test non expanding loads in wood for penetration and it takes a pretty good load to go through 7 inches of spruce.
