The local gun shop got one of these "Ruger Commanders" in on Tuesday - sold it the same day to one of the shops part timers.
I looked at it when it came in - nice gun, but nothing "special" other than the name Ruger on it.
For the price point, they will sell well.
Take care,
Bob S.

I just bought my SR1911 a week ago for a little over 700 out the door. The new one they got in was under the counter for 850 before tax.
Im so glad I put mine on layaway when I did
The Commander looks so nice. Hopefully I will find one soon being a city away from the Ruger factory lol

I was quoted $633.00 when he gets one.
Now that would be a good deal.

I own a full size SR1911 and if the Commander is half as good, it's a great value at its MSRP.

Maybe its just me, but I have absolutely ZERO excitement for this or the new Remington commander.
I have some commanders, but I much prefer full size models.

Yeah, Ruger introduces new models before they even get caught up with the previous model. I give them kudos for building great products, but it can cause customers some frustration.
