I rec'd my MKll SS pistol today. It came with the orginal box and was made in 1987. It seems to be very clean and hasn't been shot much at all. I tried to get a picture of the bolt face but could not, so you will have to take my word for how clean it is. Anyway hope you like it, I can't wait to shoot it.

Thanks, I also had a blue example bought in the 80s with 5-1/2" bull barrel. It was a fun gun and I am sure this one will be just as nice. Thanks for looking.

I have that same pistol with the 6" barrel which is what I think yours is. It is my most favorite pistol to shoot.

Best thing I ever did for it was to install the Volquartsen sear.

It is the most important part of the Volquartsen accurizing kit. Makes the trigger pull lighter, crisper and with minimal creep. Took a good gun and made it better.

The Hogue rubber grips are also worthwhile additions. I put a pair on both my Standard and Mark II. Makes the pistol just meld with my hand.

Haldor, How difficult is it to install that sear? Average mechanical skills here, can I do it. Any links or tips for the install. Yes mine is the six version as well. I am going to leave the stock grips on for awhile. I used to have one with the Ruger walnut checkered thumbrest grips, so I might go back with those if I can find them. Oh and thanks for looking at the pics.

I've got the long barreled version, and am amazed at the accuracy and precision. Iron sights at 100 yards, and hitting the gong is a hoot!
    You will NOT be disappointed.

I've got a 1991 edition of the Mark II with 6 7/8" barrel. I don't think the original owner ever field stripped and cleaned it and the extractor was extremely worn.

Once I thoroughly cleaned it a few times and installed a Volquartsen extractor it's been a real dream to shoot. It's so accurate and inexpensive it borders on boring, so I decided this year when the weather gets warm I'm going to start hunting destructive varmint like armadillos and rodents.

My wife bought me one as a gift just like that one in 1982 before we got married. 30 years later there is no telling how many squirrells and rabbits it has put in the frying pan, and among the varmits I've taken with it on the farm would include a bunch of skunks, possums, and three coyotes from around the chicken coop.
