Ruger Commander Parts Interchangeability?

    Is the Ruger Commander a standard 1911 that will take standard 1911 parts and particularly a standard ambi safety?

    yes, the gun is Series 70 ........ but you will need ambi-safety grips

    For what it's worth-I've purchased two ambisafeties and required sear pins (about $25 each) from Rock Island that "dropped" in with very minor fitting. Best part is you don't need ambi-cut grips.
