Hey guys, New glock owner here. I purchased a glock 23c from a friend and have since put about 500 rounds through it. Everything functions fine on the gun. My question concerns the barrel. After shooting I always field strip and clean. I have noticed that there are rub or wear marks on the top of the barrel. I have searched online and just can't seem to find any info on this. Is this normal? any cause for concern? thanks

My last 2 Glocks had the same thing. Looks like someone rubbed pencil on the barrel. Assuming its just the recoil spring rubbing. Never caused any issue for me. Wipes right off. I wouldn't worry about it.

    It is perfectly normal.
Just part of the Glock perfection.

Pretty much all of my barrels on any auto platform have barrel marks. Nature of the beast.
