Rtiz Camera files for bankruptcy

Discussion in 'Through-the-Lens Club' started by Green_Manelishi, Mar 14, 2009.

  1. It looks their business model includes boating supplies. Sure, I can see the connection; take your camera onto your boat and take pictures. :wow:
I just poked around the-web a bit and was rather disturbed by much that I read, considering I've always had a pleasant experience at Ritz. Anywho, any comments?

Their primary source of income was photo processing. The rest of their business was non-competitive. When film processing crashed with the advent of digital, they didn't know how to adapt.

  3. Didn't know how, or did not want to adapt?

A useless waste of retail space, happy that their gone. Low stock, bad selection, overpriced, and ZERO experience you might find at a classic brick & mortar photography shop. IE, worst of both worlds. If I want experience, I have some real shops to visit, if I want price, I have amazon and B&H.
