Rock River is having a pretty good sale on some of their AR's. The TacOp2 has everything but the flip up front and rear sights, that I want. Where as the M&PT comes just like I want it. How much, if any, is the RRA TacOp2 compared to the M&PT? And who has one of either or both and what are your thoughts? Thanks.

Of the two i'd get the S&W, but look around, you can often find a BCM or Colt for nearly the same price if you shop smart.

If that RRA has the fixed-rear-sight-with-a-step-rail mount....that is totally useless.

I went on BCMs website to price-out building an M&P15T was about $1500.00 THere are some reasons to invest the extra money (better barrel steel mainly), but the average shooter would be better off getting the S&W and plenty of ammo, mags, and maybe an optic.

I guess it depends on your priorities.

Or build one yourself. Buy a cheap set of forged receivers a LPK and buy a good BCG and barrel.

I've been looking at the rra elite op2 myself.
Retail promo 1k, dealer 20% less.

Base a4 midlength rra 925$, so for the cost of shipping and 1 extra mag I can get the promo special.

Downside is no subsitute for chrome moly barrel, with the promo'
200$ for an extra barrel, chromed or stainless, is what i'm thinking of later.
