This is a no-win issue for Romney. If he doesn't release his returns the left says he's hiding something. If he does, it will show he made gobs of money, used some tax shelters in off-shore investments and paid maybe 5% income tax.

It's better for him to not release his records. The bad press he'll get from holding back will be much less than he'll get if the media goes on for weeks talking about the millions he made, how his money is invested overseas and how the average middle-class guy is paying more in taxes.

Romney's rich. He does what all rich people do - avoids taxes. So what's new?

What would releasing more tax returns prove other than showing Romney is rich?

We need an executive good with money; good with budgets.

Rich people are hard to bribe.

Tony Rezko (in jail for corruption) gave Obama a sweetheart land deal.

How did Obama pay for college? Foreign student grants? Let’s see some records.

If Romney loses and did not pay taxes, will Obama offer him a cabinet position?

    Yawn.

Hey, Prezbo. Trade ya a tax return for college transcripts. Trade ya another one for passport records. Maybe a third for Selective Service and SSN details.

Get back to us when y'all want to be "open and transparent" for real.

+1. Who's Hussein hiding behind? George Soros? SEIU...?

What's good for the goose is good for the gander. Or, in this case, what's good for the Marxist is good for the Mormon.

Next question from the dis-loyal opposition?

Romney should be at least as open as Barry has been. Of corse that's a pretty low hurdle to clear.

Can Romney request from the IRS a statement saying he has paid all legally due taxes?

That should be assumed by everyone because if he hadn't they would have gone after him, but maybe an outright statement saying he's legal may help. Meh, it still wouldn't shut up the left.

    Where's Obama's school records?

Obama has taken the concept of "transparency" to such an all-time low, I don't know if any subsequent president or presidential candidate will ever have to provide any more than the barest minimum (which, conceivably, Obama still hasn't met).
