My buddy got a new 1125 Buell a few weeks ago and they were out riding today and stopped over. I had the chance to ride it a couple of miles around here. It is a fast bike and seems to handle nice. The only thing I didn't like was the vibration. It didn't really seem to matter what RPM range I was in the bike vibrated quite a bit and the heat radiated quite a bit from the engine compared to my YZF600. All in all though I thought it was a neat bike to ride!

    Where the buffalo roam
Now if they only sold it through dealerships who actually knew something about motorcycles, it might do something. HH

It's a large bore V-twin, it will vibrate and the prodigious heat is also typical of large bore V-twins as well.

I gotta get myself down to a dealership and do a demo ride.

Typical of some V-twins. ;) I ride an 1800 twin and it's cool and smooooothhh. Love that big twin grunt. Nothing like torque.

I stand corrected. I meant large bore watercooled V-twins that put out a lot of power.

    Wow......

And I always used to think 98hp and 112lbs was pretty good for little ol twin.

    Ouch! (That's a good one. Although maybe I laughed only because I don't have an 1800 v-twin.)

  9. I miss riding can't wait to get my bike up here to do some riding. Be safe and talk to you soon. Esox357.

Hey, What's up man! Been a while. About got killed yesterday coming home from work, an oversized semi carrying a combine almost took me out when I was making a turn off HWY30. Jack@$$ didn't slow down and after keeping an eye on my mirrors I had to shoot across center line into an oncoming bike, luckily it was another motorcycle and not a car in that lane! Combine missed me by two feet at probably 55-60mph! Didn't ride to work today, it's raining anyway!

A 1200cc Ducatti 1098R pumps out 180hp with factory exhaust. THAT'S pretty good for a lil 'ole twin. :tongueout:

Not bad...hmmm Duc costs about $16k and is a dedicated sport bike. Me and my little ol VTX can cruise cross country for 2 weeks with all the power anyone needs and I paid $6k for it.

V-twin sport bikes have come along way, but comparing them to most of the twins out on the road (Harleys, not Buells) is apples and crab apples.

Glad to have supplied you with an opportunity to smack another rider.:wavey:

  13. Glad your okay that is crazy, I have been seeing a ton of bikes out. The traffic up here is horrendous so I want to get out away from the traffic. Too bad you didn't get his plate number and call it in, but knowing the locals down there it wouldn't have done you much good. Esox357.

Hey, you like your ride and I like my ride. Like Tina Turner used to say, some of us like it easy and some of us like it rough. She liked it rough and I like my V-twin rough.
