I'm looking at getting a trijicon rmr sight for my Glock. I'm trying to decide between the led 6.5 mm red dot and the dual illumination 7mm dot. Not sure if there is any real difference between the two or if one is better than the other.

Anyone have advice about one or the other?

I just picked up the RMR 07 slide complete with the 6.5. It's the model with the adjustable illumination. For handguns, the majority of what I see are the non-dual models. Can't share benefits either way, just what I have and what I've seen. I will say 6.5 seems perfect for HG purposes. Anything smaller would deteriorate speed IMHO.

So far my RM07 has not failed, but I'm keeping an eye on it. Here is a POV shot with the intensity manually adjusted to give you an idea of what it looks like in relation to the width of the front sight post.

Love my battery operated LED RMR on my G17. No issues.
