i'm interested in a .223 with a 26" barrel and a 1:12 twist. what bullet weight am i most likely to have success with for 100-300 meter target/prairie dog shooting? thanks in advance!:wavey:

Something in the 45-60gr range. Try the various "varmint" loads you can buy at the sporting goods store.

thanks for your time, sir. i thought 1:12 digested the lighter bullets better, but had to check with the pro. thanks again!
