Hey Zak, I shoot a .308 winchester. The only rifle I have at this point is a semi-auto Merkel SR1. It is a great bush gun with an acog scope but I am looking to get my first bolt action and start more long range hunts and competition shooting.

Something under $1100 would be ideal and i'm looking for some feedback on the best quality rifles for the price.

Can anyone help me out? I have been looking at

    Weatherby Vanguard TR (sub-moa) $1000 http://weatherby.com/product/rifles/vanguard_tr/submoa_tr

    the new weatherby vanguard s2 (sub-moa) msrp $600 http://www.weatherby.com/vanguards2/

    tikka t3 series http://www.tikka.fi/t3models.php?litess

    Remington 700

if anybody has any other recommendations I am more than happy to hear them!

    I would look at three:

    1. Savage

    2. Remington 700

    3. Tikka T3
