Myrtle Grove Range, its a state run range outside of Laplata Md. $20.00 for a year pass, or $5.00 for a day pass. 100 yard range, 7 bench rest positions, target stands provided. Its the only public range in our area I know of. Their are others like So Md Sportsmans club, Sanners Lake, that have ranges but require a membership.

Not sure where you are in Maryland but the Izaak Walton League has some great ranges. First year cost includes: one-time $60 application fee + one-time $10 range access card fee + $130 annual fee. Renewals are $130/yr provided that you participate in two volunteer events during the year, one of which has to be a conservation activity. If you choose not to volunteer your time you will be charged the $200 for renewal.
The chapter I belong to is in Mt. Airy, MD and has the following ranges:
25yd uncovered pistol, 50yd covered pistol, 100yd rifle, Trap, Skeet & Sport Clays, Airgun and Archery.
