RIA 22 TCM, 9mm Combo

  1. This was my last purchase of 2012, the hard to find RIA 22 TCM/9mm Combo.

I read a lot of reviews and watched a lot of videos about the 22 TCM and was amazed at the performance, over 2000fps, recoil is minor and it’s accurate out at 50 yards.

I have been looking for one and missed my chance with two that were listed on Gunbroker, both sold before I could make my final decision to buy.

While I was at my LGS witnessing the crazy circus of panic buyers I mention to my contact that I was looking for the TCM, he stated that he had one coming in that very week, I asked him to put my name on it and call me when it came in. Picked it up after Christmas for $620.00 and bought a box of 22 TCM for $25 :wow: to try out.

The RIA 22 TCM comes with a 9mm barrel, this was a win win situation for me because I wanted a 1911 style 9mm anyway. Another plus is the high capacity mag, double stack 17 round 9mm or 22 TCM. You only get one mag with the gun, ho-well, one is better than none. Finding another mag will be troublesome until all the panic buying is over.

The TCM ammo price did not detour me because I will reloading this round. I found a source for the brass, bullets and dies, along with reloading data.

Hope to hit the range this week!

  2. Congratulations on the Christmas gift!
I've been curious about this combo myself. Range report required :)

  3. How is the trigger on that gun?
  4. I'll post a rage report
  5. The trigger is surprisingly light:wow:compared to the RIA 10mm. I have a digital trigger gauge coming in Friday so I'll post the exact weigh then.
  6. Very nice

    Congrats!

Congrats! I've been interested in the 22 TCM round ever since I heard of it a year or so ago. Can't wait to hear how it shoots.
  8. Tagged for range report

  9. Just received my Lyman trigger pull gauge and tested both RIA and one Kimber.

    RIA 10mm 6lbs

RIA TCM 22 4lbs (I was surprise at the how nice the trigger feels on the TCM)

    Kimber 45APC 4lbs

  10. Congrats!
