Request Help with Stevens Favorite 1915

    Trying to find someone with some familiarity with the above rifle. Its a .22 LR with takedown. When you replace the barrel with the ejector in the closed position, the barrel will not seat all the way. If you leave the action open and carefully line up the barrel's ejector slot and then tighten it, when the action is closed it is very tight against the ejector. The ejector also does not eject the empty as you open the falling block, but requires a forceful push on the lever and it then throws out the case. The last thing is that the hammer does not have a half-cock notch as I've seen in other Stevens Favorite 1915's. Any assistance appreciated.
