A buddy has a remington 1100 in good condition and wants to sell it. Anyone have an idea what a fair price would be for both of us? The gun is in fair to good condition. Thanks

I bought a 3" magnum last year for $350.00 and felt like I got a really good deal.

There are differnt 1100's. The prices can range buy several hundred dollars depending on which one he has so it is hard to answer the question. If it is a field grade regular ass 1100 and only in good condition $300 to $350 is good. Trap and Competition, Tournament models start adding a few hundred to that and if you start adding D, F, or G grades you add thousands. See why it is hard to answer?

To many times guys don't know what they have as it was handed down or they bought it from someone else who did not know. So finding out the model is very important when selling or buying. Since this is a friend you want to know for sure. If you give him $300 and then find out it is worth a grand it could interfere with the friendship so knowing is best for both of you.

Of course if you walk in to a gun shop with an 1100 D-grade not knowing what you have and ask $300 most dealers are going to tell you what it is and what it is worth. Then there are those that will give you your $300 and when you come back next week you see it sitting in the rack for $2,000.

I guess I need to do some more research.
