I have an 870 express that has a Butler Creek side fold stock, with the shell holder. I want to replace the "j lock" safety with standard safety. I have the parts, but can't figure how to remove the stock, so I can remove the trigger mechanism. HELP please.

If you fold the stock over, it should expose the bolt that threads into the back of the reciever......

Actually, you have to disassemble the folding part assembly and totally disassemble and remove the folding part to get to the bolt that attaches to the receiver. PITA but got it done.

I installed a "regular" safety, and took out the J key safety.
