Any input on a great pistol grip stock for my Remington 870 tact? Mind you, I'm behind the curtains in the socialist state of Massachusetts so I can't buy folding.

    Speedfeed III.

    Speedfeed IVS.

    Blackhawk (Knoxx) SpecOps.

    Choate.

I've used all of them, except the Speedfeed IVS. (I've got long arms.)

I took the Choate off of an older 870, put it in a drawer, and forgot about it.
Found it about a month ago, while cleaning out some 'stuff'.
    Still like new.

  4. There's always the new MagPul stock, kind of cross between a pistol grip and standard stock.

  5. If you meant PGO (pistol grip only), then Speedfeed 0390 as mentioned above

If you meant stock with a pistol grip, Speedfeed IV-S.

    I have both.

I have a Choate pistol grip stock on my 870. It is a full stock with the pistol grip.

I have an older model Pachmeyer brand on mine. I don't know if it is made any more but I've had it for years and it has worked great. It takes a lot of the recoil.

Love the Magpul SGA stock. Shoulders extremely well!
Actually had a pistol grip stock and swapped it for the SGA and haven't looked back.

I like the new MagPul. For a 'real' pistolgrip the Speedfeed IV-S is my overall favorite.

Can't remember if the Mesa Tactical Urbino fits 870s but it's also good.

LOL. I used to think that as well, but the look has grown on me. Plus, it does feel great shouldered.

How do those change the shape?

  17. Obviously it only changes the aesthetics, which sometimes is all it takes to make you like or dislike something.

Im my opinion and preference the Speedfeed IV-S with an R3 or Limbsave pad is the best you can find for a fighting shotgun.
