I got a case of Rem 6-1/2 primers for reloading 30 carbine. But I'll never load that much for 30 carbine. I'd like to use them for 40S&W in my Glock 23. Anyone try this. I'll start low and work up so thats not a problem. But the Rm 6-1/2 is a small rifle primer with a thinner case. I've heard that the Glock might not have enough 'umph' in the firing pin to ignite small rifle primers, but the 6-1/2 is a thin walled primer as rifle primers go. Anyone try this.

    i use them for that.
it started w/me buying 6.5 instead of 7.5 for my ar. i checked around and found lots of guys use small rifle for pistol and rifle.
start at the beginning and work your way up.
