Here we go, buyers remorse. I was thinking about a Glock 20sf but ended up with a Gen 4 22. I just put night sights on it and was looking at it... but its not the 20sf I wanted to buy. I even posted how much I loved it, I guess to talk myself into thinking I made a good choice. Would it be stupid to sell it to and get a 20? Or, should I keep it and save for a 20sf instead? I figure my 30sf could be my EDC and a 20sf for everything else. So what would I use my 22 for?

Might I suggest getting a 357 Sig barrel for your G22.

    It worked for me...

Frank- You have a .45 for EDC and wanted a 10mm for everything else.
My question is, why did you end up getting a .40 for. Was it cost or availability of ammo. If your not happy with the .40 by all means sell it.
Or your not going to be happy. If you like the .40 cal and can afford to keep it and stll buy the 10mm. Good luck.

The G20 is a good gun but the G22 is also a good gun for most purposes it is adequate. I had a G20 and shot it mostly with a conversion barrel for 40 S&W. Unless you are in bear country the 40 is all the gun you need and cheaper to feed.,

If it was me... I would keep the G22 and save my nickel and dimes for the G20. I don't see anything wrong with owning both...

By the way... Why don't you like the G22? I'm loving mine... But that's not saying much because I love all four of my Glocks. :)

I did the same thing, except bought a Gen4 22 instead of the Gen4 21.

ended up trading my 22 on a 21 and pay the difference. I couldn't be happier

Calm yourself thusly: it might be much better to wait for the Gen 4 G20.

I dont think a G22 is a bad choice, but honestly, if you got that 10mm itch, a 40 cal aint gonna cut it. Personally id trade it in or sell it. You can buy a G20sf and get a conversion barrel for it and have a gun that shoots 40sw better than the G22 does! And feed that bad boy some 10mm rounds from underwoodammo.com, by far the best priced ammo that is truly full power, unlike doubletap who doesnt live up to its published velocities.

It is not that I don't like it. I always toyed with the idea of getting a 10mm. I was at the range putting my 30sf through it's paces and someone showed up with a 20sf. He let me put a few rounds through it and since then, I have regretted not getting the 20sf.

I always went back and forth on the 10mm. I went to go look for one and he didn't have any in stock. I saw the 22 Gen 4 sitting there, saw that it had all the latest parts, and the trigger was better than my well used 19, so I bought it. The other day, I shot someone's 20sf at the range and loved it. So I started thinking, "if only I didn't go back and forth and just bought the damn 20 like I wanted to."

Made the mistake of taking the wife shooting after the G20 came home. She liked it and then we took the gun out again with some of my heavier reloads. After that she had to have one so we ended up indulging her and 2 G29's came home to roost with the G20. If you are fortunate to collect different calibers of Glocks you may end up rotating calibers. The rotation gives the guns the exercise they deserve. :50cal:

There is no replacement for the G20. If its just for a range gun, I'd sell the 22 and get a 20 and a conversion barrel. If your like me, I'd just buy a 20 to add to the collection. But if you do get a 20 you will probably seriously neglect your 22 when you go shooting.

If you really want the G20, then simply trade the G22, pay the difference, and be done with it.

Well the large frame Gen 4 G21 has been a big success. The new G20 should be a smash. Wait to check out the Gen 4 G20 albeit I've no idea how long it will take Glock to get it to market.

You made a simple mistake and bought the .40 short. Get yourself a .357 Sig barrel for it.

Or dump it. Get the real .40. A short .40 barrel, .357 Sig barrel, 9x25 barrel and other 10mm barrels. And get them all in different length's. And then wonder why Glock chambers there pistols in so many near worthless calibers. :)

Or get a 21 and shoot a variety of ammo out of it. :)

    And I would not pay $1.00 more for a Gen4 over a Gen3.
