Regarding entry # 445

    Dear Mas:

    Only guessing but it appears you passed up my response to your reply (regarding entry #445); please tell me what you think of it, as it is presented below, in green italics.

    Tenable conjecture here is that the good guy withdrew the weapon from holster just far enough to clear it from (otherwise inevitable) obstruction(s) and enable (the semi-auto cycle and) him to avoid the obstacle(s) that you have (understandably) introduced.

    I understand and acknowledge your (characteristicallly) vigilant consideration of the exemplary, less hampered tactical maneuver with a revolver.

    I do not know if the muzzle end of the holster was open or stitched shut.

    Didn't pass it up, bro, just thought you made your point so well before that it required no comment from me.

    Since we're discussing it here, though, and some may not read the previous discussion, I have to reiterate that this kind of shooting entails some danger of wounding oneself.
