I changed out the trigger in my G19 for a smooth version and got it back together and something is wrong. I'm not sure what I did, but the trigger won't reset. The slide also locks back without a magazine in the gun. And I can't get the slide off. I'm assuming I put the slide release back in wrong(?). Something definitely went in the wrong way.

Is there some way for me to get the slide off and try and fix this?

Remove the Slide Cover Plate - be sure to keep thumb over the spring loaded bearing and firing pin spacer sleeve so they don't go flying across the room. Then remove the firing pin and extractor assemblys. Now you should be able to remove the slide. Also, check to make sure the end of the slide release spring is resting under (not over) the locking block pin. Did you happen to put the slide on without the barrel and recoil spring? This would cause the slide to lock.
