Another thread got me to thinking. Any owners of non-custom house "rare" 1911's? Personally, I like the Randalls, in particular the left handed models, but that's just cuz I'm a southpaw.

Here's one I carried for years. Today, it's my "house" gun.

    Looks nice. :)

I have a Randall on my list to get, as I see them on Gunbroker.

    They are fairly rare.

Here are my two rarest 1911s, not counting my full house custom models.

Unertl DLX and Valtro 1998A1

Here's a couple more rare 1911s of mine, though not as rare as the first two I posted.

RRA Limited Match and STI Legacy. Neither are built anymore, but beautiful 1911s, in my opinion.

I'll see if I can scout one up or if not, I'll take one. Oh, the rear sight is a ghost ring, with a white dot on the front. Better for my aging eyes. Since it's a lefty, this is the only way I could figure out to mount the laser. Nice thing is, I can put the original sights back on and be back to stock. Not that I'm worried about hurting it's value. This one is a shooter, and it will be the last one to go, like when I'm gone.

I wouldn't mind wallpapering my whole house with pictures of his RRA then my second favorite would be his Yost WWI retro.

I know the OP said no full house customs, but my Pistol Dynamics Signature model is the only one built so far on Liebenberg's new in house frame.

Check out the serial number. :tongueout:

This is a Baer Prowler III. While cataloged, hardly any are built.

It's not really TOO rare, but it's rare to find one of these in this condition.

Colt Commander Nickel with original box and papers...

There's an exact model like it at my local shop, but in much worse condition.
