Almost three weeks ago our all around maid for 3 years ask for permission to return to Butuan to see and attend to his ailing father who was diagnosed with stage 2 colon cancer. My wife and I talked about since we cannot do anything given the reason we said yes. We also told her if she want to come back okay lang din since pwede naman siya magpadala.

Our maids ( two of them) are properly compensated mas inaalagaan pa ng wife ko ang mga ito. We even brought them to Boracay last year and everywhere we go.

Since nagmamadali umalis we bought her a one way ticket sa plane via cebu pacific. Thinking that she was in the province ok na. Yesterday my wife received a text from her asking if she can come back but sa lunadry shop namin not sa house as maid. My wife said no since we don't need extra staff doon.

Then early this morning our staff sa laundry shop texted my wife that she saw our maid during the holly week together with our former laundry employee ( this is another story ) with their respective boyfriends ( one is a janitor of the building where our laundry shop is located the other is a delivery boy of the sar-sari store near our house)

My wife verified with cebu pacific if she boarded the plane she was a no show.

My wife and I are furious given the fact we treated them equal. Right now we are not even sure if the news about his dad having cancer is true.

Just wait. Babalik din sa kanya ang ginawa niya sa inyo. In no time, she will be calling you and pleading for you to take her back as a housemaid. She thought she could bluff you. Big mistake!

Our kasambahay (we don't treat her or call her as maid since we already treat her as family) has been with us for 12 years na. My wife and I adopted the kid since she was a baby, not legally though and the kid knows who her real mother is but she treats us all as parents.. Kami na sumagot sa lahat ng gastos ng bata.

Nung mamatay father ng kasambahay namin last year, hindi din sya umuwi ng probinsya. Her reason? Her family needs the money for burial more than her presence. We gave her fare money balikan pero instead na umuwi, idinagdag na lang nya sa perang ipadadala nya pampalibing sa father nya.

Now we have a child of our own pero yung kasambahay namin ang nagaalaga. And she takes good care of my son. May sideline pa yan sa amin e. Nagaahente ng Natasha at Avon at nagbebenta ng kojic soap. Sa buong subdivision namin at sa iba pang subdivisions sa paligid siya lang ang distibutor ng Kojic soap. =). Right now mas malaki pa ang kita nya sa sideline nya kesa sa ipinapasweldo namin sa kanya. Last I heard kumikita siya ng 16K sa pagdidistributor lang.

We would be happy for her kapag dumating na yung time na hindi niya na kelangan pang manilbihan sa amin at makapagsarili na sya ng negosyo.

Lots of Filipinos on this forum:
hence, the occasional use of Filipino language here... d'OH! :)

Cliff notes: Wp.22's housemaid wanted to bail on them, giving a BS story
about her dad dying from cancer. Wp.22 said sure, and even bought her
a plane ticket. Turns out she was just fishing for a bump in pay (thinking
Wp.22 would be desperate to make her stay). Failing that, she's now
asking for a job at her Wp.22's laundry business.

the other girl who left our laundry shop that was seen with her during the holly week quit her job without notifying us first. She just texted her co-labandera that she is not coming back and she owes my wife money for her advance salary. They always ask for cash advance which my wife readily gives.

The reason for her quitting suddenly is because she is feeling the heat some money are missing and we suspect that she accepts cloths for laundry but does not issue receipt for the people she knows.

Before she was transferred to the laundry shop she used to be our maid. One time she was hand polishing the wooden floor her 'bumpers" are showing. After that i told my wife to transfer her to the shop. There she met her BF a janitor and married man. One time the sister of the janitor came rushing to the shop unfortunately my wife was there. The sister told the girl to leave her brother since she is married already.

  18. Pot, I hope you don't employ her in your laundry shop, or anywhere. Potential trouble.
