Advanced Handgun Skills, 3 Day Format, Sept 10-12 2010, Friday through Sunday. Conducted at the LSU Police Range, St. Gabriel, Louisiana, near Baton Rouge. Class runs 9am-6pm all three days. Students will need about 1,500 rounds of ammunition.

This is NOT a beginner’s class. Students should have prior training in Rangemaster’s Combative Pistol 1, Gunsite 250, Thunder Ranch Defensive Handgun 1, Tactical Response Fighting Pistol, or equivalent. An IDPA Sharpshooter would be OK. The emphasis is on fast, reliable hits with a handgun under stressful conditions. We will also do some classroom work on how these skills come into play in defensive shootings, looking at some real world applications.

Lunch will be provided on site, to minimize lost training time. Tuition is $500. Call Lynn at Rangemaster, 901-370-5600 to register. Your primary instructor will be Tom Givens, assisted by other Rangemaster staff.
