Well I picked up a G36 in trade last weekend and finally made it to the range to try it out. Shot around 100 rounds of 230 gr ball ammo thru it... I was pleasently surprised with this gun, I am used to the caliber as I shoot 1911's most of the time and I have to admit that the 36 outperformed my favorite 1911. Recoil was no more than the recoil of my wifes G26, very slight, it is very accurate as well, at 7 yrds only one ragged hole from 2 mags, 21 yards the hole was larger but still one ragged hole. I was ready for more recoil being a polymer gun and all but Glock figured it out and hit the nail on the head with this model!!! I believe I have a new carry weapon, thinner, lighter and just as accurate and fun to shoot as my 1911, so now I have choices! lol... I now understand why all of you that own the 36 say its your favorite gun! Definately a keeper!
