I have over 5000 rounds but through my Glock 19 since I've had it, my internals were wore out my extractor was not extracting like it used to when I bought it.
keep in mind 5000 rounds. I took it down to Smyrna at the Glock factory and they service my Glock 19 and replaced all of my internals and swap my mags. I got home today after work and decided to shoot. I wanted to see what I can get it 30 yards like I used to so I put up a 50-yard pistol target and shot 12 rounds. all 12 rounds are in the black 11 of them are in the X ring or touching the X ring with one kicker .. however all 12 rounds are in the black.

I am very pleased overall with the way this going handles and shoots .
Couldn't ask for a better combat weapon! Thank you Glock.

It's good to read that Glock Customer Service got your G19 pistol back to tip-top shape.

I see from your impressive resume over at WarriorTalk.com that you are not only a highly skilled shooter, but also very experienced at teaching others. It's comforting to know you have helped some of America's finest in our military to become better shooters. Thank you for your service.

    Great shooting, Sir!

I can't believe it was worn out after only 5,000 rounds!

I was in the prone position shooting and then for the last shot I figured I get up and try my last round unsupported . clearly you can see where that round hit on the bottom for the left of the black

Good to hear about what they did for you. I'm hesitant on the 5000 rounds also.

  12. I'm glad your pistol is working out for you. However, I guess that I'm just one of the old timers here and must wonder about a Glock that's "worn out" after only 5,000 rounds?? Normally, they're just getting broken in well at that point. Could it just possibly have needed cleaning? As for the "internals" that Glock replaced, could you please be more specific about which ones they were? I have to wonder about any major brand of combat pistol that was worn out after only 5,000 rounds. Even the vast assortment of firearms that I carried while working as the one zero of a SOG recon team in Vietnam went way more than 5,000 rounds. Heck, our "Yard" pointman probably had that many rounds on his crossbow.
I truly don't mean this as an attack or to criticize you in any way. I understand that you're well trained with firearms so you must understand my concern over just 5,000 rounds wearing a Glock out. Or, did my tired old eyes see it wrong through these blamed glasses? Was it 50,000 rounds you shot? Thank you for your time.

The round count is 5k on it. I was heafed that way for a trade off of the ODT. I agree with you a good break in period. I got this pistol from an ODT'r and was not sure of the rd count before i got it... It seemed New to me when I looked at it.
So when i was going that way for a trade i figured it stop in for an overhaul.

    Try the prone position....
You body as flat as possible, both arms extended like you are shooting from the standing and kneeling.... Grip you pistol the exact same way you would standing and kneeling.... Rest the bottom of the mag on the ground... You should aquire the exact same sight pic.... This is the most stable position you can achieve.... I garentee you will have a better shot group...

This is the prone position demonstrated.

    Two views:
    1- from the front
    2- from the side
If you cant not get completely behind you sights because of neck fatuge, rest you head on you bisep.
