I bought this pistol for a lark, but then it turned out to be a hell of a shooter. Since that it's a MkIV Series 70, my guess is somewhere between 1970 and 1976. It's fairly well worn but still shoots like a dream, smallish GI-style sight and all. There is something to that collet-style barrel bushing after all. Finish, though worn, was well done back in the days with matte on the round surfaces and polished on the flats. Trigger feels stock but lighter and smoother due to age and use. It points low for me as typical of all M1911s in my hands. Too bad the grip panels aren't original, but still look and feel good in the hands. Wanna kill these ads? We can help!
