So I need to go ahead and purchase a scope for one of my AR's before it's too late, and I'm getting nervous about it since I really don't know so much about scopes. I'm kinda interested in this Nikon: http://www.midwayusa.com/product/995622/nikon-m-223-rifle-scope-2-8x-32mm-nikoplex-reticle-matte ... But I'm not sure if I'm making a sound investment or walking into a disaster. It looks attractive to me, but I have never seen it in person, nor have I really seen in person that many of the other scopes in this price range. I want a scope that has no more than X10 power, no super fancy reticle, something that is durable, reliable, and not too heavy, and my budget isn't too much more than what the above is going for. I could probably spend another $150-200 if persuaded. I'll be investing a solid $200 or so more on the mount (LT-104 probably). It will all be mounted on an 18 inch Stainless barreled AR. Is this scope a solid purchase? Can I do substantially better by going up another $200 in price range? Is there another scope in particular that you would recommend? Any comments would be most appreciated!
