Just to satisfy some curiosity, are the metal pins treated with the same tenifer (or whatever they're using now) process?

Thanks. Kinda thought that the plastic pin might be exempt from the treatment process. A friend of mine was showing me a 19 he bought. He had polished the slide stop lever, trigger pin, locking block pin, and the barrel. I wasn't sure that the pins were treated and was questioning the possibility of rust.
