I recieved a ticket for Obedience to traffic control devices(3111 A) the other day and was wondering what affect this has on my driving record. The officer said it was a 0 point infraction. Is this considered a moving violation.
He claimed i was over 25mph over the posted limit but there is no way I was speeding as he claimed.
The ticket is approx. $100 and one person told me the officer gave me a gift by writing this citation.
    Any info is appreciated

Yes, he did you a favor by citing you under that section. It carries zero points against your driver's license and the only thing you loose is the money for paying the citation.

Quite often if a motorist is given a speeding ticket (actual speed violation) and takes a hearing the DJ will usually drop the speeding citation to +5 over the posted speed limit (again, no points) or he'll amend the citation to 3111.
