I got my Basic Cert. at the beginning of the year but then managed to injure myself at work prior to getting a job in EMS. Long story short I am now cleared for full duty again and therefore restarting my search for a job in EMS. However the only places I can think of to apply are SouthWest, NorthWest (unsure if need FF), and RuroMetro none of which to my knowledge are hiring at the moment. Searching on the net has so far been a fruitless endeavor. Any ideas of who is hiring at the moment for Basics and if they have a medic program that I could go to or would I be better off going to UofA's program in the fall next year.

    Southwest, or maybe some hospitals.
You could try to go the Fire route (Northwest, Rural Metro, Rincon Valley, Green Valley, Drexel), but you would need more training (school) or test high enough on the City Fire Dept. test.
